Today I played up in Woodland Hills for our good friend Nicole. She has been moving around the country for a few months and decided to settle down in LA.
My father and good friend, Will, threw a wonderful welcome home BBQ party and asked me to provide some solo steel drum entertainment.

Today I unveiled nupangroove.com, a full featured flash website that I hope will bring Nu Pan Groove to the next level. Feel free to comment about it on this blog if you feel compelled to do so. I will maintain my recent gig postings on the blog, but a lot of info is going to shift over or be linked to the new site.

Today I performed with my new West African Drum group, Pan Africa: Djelia Kadi at UCSD for an African Global Marketplace celebration in the dining hall.
I put this group together to showcase my years of study with leader and master drummer Dramane Kone from Mali. Since the bands inception in February, we are seeing lots of interest and booking shows all over Southern California. For more information, please visit the new website www.nupangroove.com

African Guitar, called a Kora
I was hired back in September to perform Sundays over at the Citrus City Grille in Corona Ca.
It was a great run with over a dozen performances. It was my pleasure to perform for them and I will hopefully be back next summer!
I would highly recommend their restaurant for a fine dining experience. Thanks to Tosos for hooking up this gig!

I performed for the Reef Check Foundation for a fundraiser and auction. They had lots of different entertainment and kiosks representing the various reefs around the world. I represented the Caribbean reefs naturally.
Always a pleasure to perform at the Aquarium of the Pacific! Special thanks to A.J. Steinberg for producing the festivities!

Today I played for the birthday of Desmond Childers, a fascinating gentlemen who was actually born and raised in Trinidad.
He told me that he watched the steel drum being created in his backyard and he experienced the development of the instrument.
It was an honor to perform for him at the Luguna Woods Village Golf Course. Special thanks to Beverly Childers for having me!
